Just got your moving ears or tail? This two-minute video shows everything from opening the box to looking after the fur. The steps are written out underneath too.
In the video
- 0:00 Ears: what's in the box, charging, switching on and changing mode
- 0:58 Tail: switching on, wearing it and changing the batteries
- 1:38 Fur care: combing and refreshing the fur covers
Ears
- In the box: a steel comb, Velcro pads, a USB-C charging cable and two clips. The clips and Velcro pads help the band stay steady when you wear it.
- Charge them first over USB-C. About an hour gives you up to five hours of movement. The light on the button flashes while it charges.
- Hold the button for 3 seconds to switch on. Press once to change mode. Hold for 3 seconds again to switch off.
- There are six modes: gravity sensing, where the ears follow your head, plus five built-in patterns.
Tail
- The three AA batteries are already fitted before it ships.
- Slide the red switch on the white box to on, then hold the black button at the root of the tail for 3 seconds. Once it's on, the tail moves by itself. Press once to change the movement, and hold again to switch off.
- Thread the clear belt through the slot on the white box to wear it.
- When the batteries run low, open the box with the small screwdriver included and fit three new AA batteries.
Fur care
- To fluff the fur, comb it against the grain with the steel comb. You can do this with the fur still on the band, and the same goes for the tail.
- For a deeper refresh, slide the fur covers off the ears and blow-dry them with hot air, against the grain.
- Slide them back on, line the Velcro up with the motor, and leave a little room at the tip so the ear can fold.
