Questions people ask
How long does the battery last? Up to about 5 hours of movement per charge from the 450 mAh battery in the band, and about 1 hour to charge it over USB-C. It keeps running while plugged in to a power bank.
What exactly comes in the kit? The moving band on its own: the gravity-sensing headband and servos, unfurred, plus a USB-C charging cable. No fur and no shells; those are the parts you add.
Does it move the same way as your finished pairs? Yes. It is the same mechanism: 6 modes, gravity sensing plus five built-in patterns (outward fold, forward fold, rapid fold, alternating left/right fold and alternating left/right rotation).
Do I need an app or a phone? No. There is no app, no account and no Bluetooth. You charge it over USB-C and control it with the one button on the band: hold it to switch on or off, press it to change mode.
Are the motors silent? No, and we will not claim they are. They are quiet: the motors make a soft sound you can hear up close in a quiet room.
Is it waterproof? No. Keep it out of rain and snow, and store it somewhere dry and out of direct sun.
How do my own ears attach? The mechanism mounts in either the folded-down or the tilted position, and you build your own shells, fur or 3D-printed covers onto it.
What if I would rather not build them myself? Then you want a finished pair: every other listing in the range arrives furred and ready to wear.
Can I return it? Wherever you are, you have 30 days from the day after your parcel arrives to change your mind. You pay the return postage; we pay it if something is faulty.
